UNIZIK VC REMAINS J.E. AHANEKU; APPOINTS NEW BURSAR AND REGISTRAR

AS REGISTRAR AND BURSAR BOW OUT AFTER COMPLETING THEIR TENURE.
The Registrar and Bursar of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka Barr. CC Okeke and Pastor UJ Agu have completed their five year tenure on Friday July 31st 2015. In accordance with University Laws the Vice Chancellor Prof. Joseph Eberendu Ahaneku, FAS has appointed Dr. I.H. Isidienu and Mr. Emma Nnajide to oversea the Registry and Bursary pending the reconstitution of the Governing Council when substantive officers will be appointed.

In a meeting with Deans and Directors on Friday, the Vice Chancellor thanked the outgoing Registrar and Bursar for their contribution to the growth of the University. He charged the incoming officers to work hard to further lift the University to its desired height.

It could be recalled that Barrister CC Okeke and Pastor UJ Agu assumed office in 2010 as Registrar and Bursar respectively.
For other principal officers their tenures are as follows:
Vice Chancellor - Appointed for a five year tenure on June 4 2014 and his tenure will complete on June 3, 2019.
Similarly, the tenure of the Librarian will come to an end in July 2020.
Those who are ignorant of the workings of Universities are peddling rumours that all principal officers have been sacked including the Vice Chancellor. This is blatant falsehood. For those peddling these false rumours they should be advised to desist or face the full wrath of the law for spreading false rumours.

The Vice Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka Prof. JE Ahaneku and his Management team are determined to rid the University of vices including admission racketeering, extortion of money from students by some lecturers and intimidation of students generally.
