COMMUNIQUE OF THE MEETING OF THE 11TH EXECUTIVE COUNCIL OF THE SAG-CHS
Opening prayer by the Public Relations Officer
The Vice President presided over the meeting due to the unavoidable absence of the President.
Agenda for the meeting includes:
Valentine Day outreach reports
Security reports
Electricity reports
Environmental Health Science Orientation Event
Matters Arising or Any Other Business.
VALENTINE’S DAY OUTREACH REPORTS
The Vice President addressed the quick rush for the event as it was due to the General Elections date saga, and she gave a rundown of the funds and how they were expended:
Funds from external bodies: ₦80,900
Total Expenditures: ₦76,700
Left-over cash: ₦4,200
She addressed that the left-over cash was used to acquire some materials for the toilets at the College’s Auditorium. She was also grateful to GOD for the success of the event.
SECURITY REPORTS
A legal undertaking would be given to the hostel landlord that beat up a student also the success of the meeting with the Okofia Vigilante Group was discussed.
ELECTRICITY REPORTS
The Secretary General advised meeting the Works Department and College Authorities on the reasons behind the failure of the Generator sets not powering the College compound especially at nights.
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH SCIENCE YEAR ONE ORIENTATION
The President and Secretary General of NAUEHSSA were invited to the meeting to give a breakdown on their proposed budget and plans for the Orientation of their new students. They were advised to continue with their plans but it is subject to a feasible date.
ORIENTATION WEEK REPORTS
The reports were read out by the Financial Secretary.
MATTERS ARISING OR ANY OTHER BUSINESS
The creation of spaces within the College’s compound for some students that wish to carry out their business within the College. Fasting and prayers session for the SAG and its officials.
